Rules & Regulation

groupkids1In the rules and regulations below, the term open facilities refers to the pools, the pool deck, the bluff deck, the tennis courts, and the volleyball court. The covered facilities are the pool house and the pavilion.

 

General Rules

  • The facilities of the Monte Sano club are only for the use of members, summer permit holders, and their guests. See the membership page for more information.
  • The Club Manager, Lifeguards, and Board Members have the authority to enforce safety and health regulations and to maintain good order. This includes the authority to evict persons from Club property, if necessary.
  • Cars left unattended after Club hours may be towed at the owner's expense.
  • Police will be called for security complaints. Offenders may be prosecuted.
  • Except as noted below, no one is allowed on Club premises during non-Club hours. Violators may be prosecuted.
  • Bikes, scooters, skates, etc., should be left outside the club gate and in the grass area. Sidewalks must be kept clear for pedestrian traffic.
  • The picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
  • The tables and chairs in the pavilion must be left in the pavilion.
  • The chairs on the pool deck should remain on the deck.
  • The Club phone should only be used for child pick-up, food orders, and other short, important messages. The Club phone is not for long, social calls.
  • The wooded areas of the Club property are home to all sorts of interesting wildlife--raccoons, skunks, snakes, possums, squirrels, lizards, and much more.. They need to remain wild. For your safety and theirs, do not feed them, catch them, or handle them in any way.

Weather Policies

  • The pool will be closed when rain interferes with the performance of the lifeguards. The pool will re-open when the manager on duty deems it safe.
  • If lightning is spotted, or if thunder is heard, the open facilities of the Club will be closed and will remain closed until 20 minutes from time of last lightning or thunder event.
  • If a thunderstorm watch or warning or a tornado watch or warning is issued the Club will be closed.
  • The pool or other open facilities may remain closed for as long as the weather is predicted to remain poor.

Rules for Guests

  • A member in good standing must accompany each guest and remain at the Club with the guest.
  • Out-of-town guests will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by a member.
  • In-town guests are required to pay a $2 guest fee. Each in-town guest is limited to 12 visits per season.
  • A baby-sitter who has been approved by the Board will be admitted free when supervising the child of a member.
  • Guest fees may be different for special events.
  • Live entertainment events may require an admission fee for guests. Check the web site or postings at the pool for each event.
  • The live entertainment event admission fee will apply to all guests in and out of town, no exception. Members will need to meet their guests at the entry gate if you are already in the pool area. A guard will page you.
