Dear Monte Sano Community Members,

It is difficult to believe that April is here!  Our current academic year has already been filled with many success stories and exciting events!  In August, our strong test results were formally announced through the media.  These results can be accessed from our school’s website, the school system’s website, and/or the Alabama State Department of Education’s website.  In October, we learned that our physical education program was awarded the Governor’s Award for Physical Fitness!  In January, we had many students participate in the annual “PTA Reflections” contest and place at the city level.  It should also be noted that two former Monte Sano students are currently in the top five (grade point average) at Huntsville High School!  Most recently, our County Commissioner, Faye Dyer, presented our school with a check for $100,000! In fact, you may be aware that her donation last year allowed us to replace all of the flooring in the hallways and classrooms in the older section of our building.

As you can see, your local elementary school is striving hard to make you proud, and we still have April and May yet to go!  In the event you get the opportunity to share some positive aspects about our school, I thought it might prove useful to include a few talking points:

We appreciate your support and encouragement, and we would like to hear your suggestions about how we can improve communication with you and your family.  If I can ever be of assistance to you, or if you would like to volunteer to tutor a child, please feel free to contact me at 428-7300 and/or bscott@hsv.k12.al.us.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                                Bradley A. Scott
